The Top Fitness Consumer Shows to Attend in 2020

The title of this blog is a little misleading, we admit. Mostly because, what we have learnt over the last few years is that there’s no such thing as a purely ‘fitness’-based event anymore. Rather, it’s more about holistic health, wellness and wellbeing. This means many consumer shows now incorporate health and fitness into more general lifestyle events as a way to encourage living a healthy, balanced life.

To get in front of consumers, introduce your brand to new audiences and find like-minded brands to collaborate with, exhibiting at one of these events is a great idea to increase the general awareness of your brand in the market.

Probably the most ‘general’ one on our list, the Live Well London event includes everything from breathing workshops and inspiring business talks to cooking shows and fitness classes. For this reason, the line-up includes CEOs, entrepreneurs and chefs among mindfulness coaches and journalists alike. It’s wonderful to see consumer shows becoming so all-encompassing for people who want access to and insight to not only the best health brands, but also the people behind them. This is a trend we’re seeing in the consumer space as general – people want to know more about why brands do what they do, and Live Well London encourages this with its entire set up.

For the second year, the UK’s leading female health & fitness magazine is hosting a weekend of talks, workouts and shows in Islington, London. Giving unique access and insight to women who are interested and invested in health and fitness, the Women’s Health Live event has an all-star line-up of fitness stars such as Kayla Itsines, celebrities such as Kirsty Gallagher, influencers and fitness coaches like Alice Liveing and even Olympians such as Dame Kelly Holmes. These inspiring women guide fitness workshops, talk about their health and fitness journeys and encourage a happier, kinder way of looking after yourself. It’s an event which really pushes the female empowerment message and last year, our client Barrecore was thrilled to be involved in the event.

One of the biggest fitness events in the calendar year is, arguably, the Bodypower Experience. This is a huge event which has been running for over a decade and appeals to the biggest fitness-fans from across the world. With Bodybuilders, Olympians and influencers mingling and trying out the best new workouts, equipment, athleisure products and nutrition packages available on the market, it’s an event which excites the die-hard fitness junkies without fail.

Probably the most sport-centric one on our list, this event started as merely a running event which incorporated a 5k, 10k and half marathon distance. However, as the community became more involved, it grew and grew and now the three-day event is a huge outdoor festival complete with food trucks, music acts and yoga classes. The family-friendly event is typically held in the beginning of the summer and sponsored by huge brands such as Virgin Sport and Nike. It’s always a weekend to remember for fitness and festival fans alike.

Even though this is an event run by an athleisure retail brand, it works hard to prioritise wellness over commerciality for guests. ‘Fashion, Fitness, Food’ is the Sweaty Betty Live mantra and the cult-like audience for the brand really brings out the best names to exhibit at this one-day event. With big boutique fitness studios, premium healthy food brands and sustainable beauty products involved, this event has a very slick look and feel and therefore appeals to guests who want to look good and feel good, and are willing to invest real time, money and energy into doing just that.
